Data table
Best-Selling Video Game Consoles of All Time
Lifetime worldwide unit sales for 59 game consoles, from PlayStation 2 to Telstar — sortable by maker, type and release year.
Every video game console, handheld and VR headset with at least one million units sold worldwide, ranked by lifetime unit sales in millions. Built on Wikipedia's "List of best-selling game consoles" and cross-checked against Nintendo's and Sony's own investor/business data pages for the current generation (Switch, Switch 2, PS5, PS4). Sort by units, manufacturer, type or release year, and see which figures come straight from the maker versus press estimates. Microsoft does not report Xbox unit sales, so Xbox figures are labeled estimates.
